ABOUT ME

Children often attempt to emulate the superheroes they watch on TV. One such hero from my childhood was Captain Planet. From the show, I gained an initial interest in energy and environmental stewardship. This interest sustains through research and development efforts as well as practitioner experience in climate change adaptation, energy management, environmental compliance, and the like.

My Ph.D. is from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and I research issues involving energy and environmental sustainability as a member of the Institute for Environmental Science and Policy. I explore climate change and social identity as it relates to the food-energy-water nexus and global environmental change. This research is intended to facilitate more effective climate change and food policy measures applicable to the U.S. and countries around the world.
